It is good to know the Love of God but this is not enough.
You must learn to observe that also.

Respects, Gratitude, Pranams to
Om Maha Ganapataye Namaha
The teachings, my practice, the creation of Centered Yoga are all due to
grace, passed on through many Masters and teachers, some direct and others indirect.
It is here I must begin this website and honor them with full thanks and respect.
Om Namah Sivaya
Mother, the force that guides everything I do
Jai Ma
Om Sri Gurubhyo Namaha
I have had the honor to study with many wonderful teachers. They have all been instrumental in my development. Even as I go out and offer the teachings I am always a student. Through their actions and teachings I have been taught on specific parts of the practice and lifted higher by the experience. The work they did has paved the way for my learning. The connection I feel so strong in my heart. I cannot express enough thanks. My words are imperfect and incomplete.

Wealth of knowledge, master of pranayama and an accomplished yogi.
Thank you for your teachings and guidance.
This lineage of Swami Kuvalayananda (right) and Tiwariji has influenced yoga around the world, though often quietly. Complete yoga therapy and the authentic and thorough teaching of pranayama has been a great gift.

The Master and grandson, daily teaching and passing
on the method of ashtanga yoga. Thank you for teaching
us and blessing us to teach.
Mysore has always been home to a royal family. The
Maharaja's palace still stands. In fact, he was instrumental
in ensuring that the practice of ashtanga vinyasa
was taught, first by its originator, Krishnamacharya
(right), then by its foremost exponent, Sri. K. Pattabhi
Jois. Krishnamacharya's original ashtanga school was
located in the palace. In a way we now have a new
royal family of Mysore, in the yogic lineage. Paul
and Jutima are grouped with their teachers, three
generations of the Jois family - Master, Sri. K. Pattabhi
Jois (center), son Manju (in red), and grandson Sharath
Rangaswamy. This moment was captured on their visit
to New York in 2000.
Krishnamacharya was a real master of yoga and Pattabhi
Jois has followed him well. The result is the most
thorough approach to asana, foundation to yoga practices.
This system has given birth to the modern yoga explosion
and all the new varieties of styles.

The Divine Mother. We feel your blessings and support without which none of this would be possible.

There have been many yogi masters and influences but these are the direct ones. Sivananda opened up the path of yoga to us, Yogananda elevated it, Vivekananda intensified it, Ramakrishna transformed it. Ammachi's mother love is constantly felt in all activities. Direct teaching came upon meeting Tiwariji, moving to another level of practice and learning, and intensive practice under the Ashtangi Masters Guruji and Sharath. At this point the idea of a practice and how to do and live yoga became clear. A method was given. There were many other teachers and influences along the way, and continue to be, yet these Masters above are the landmarks and lighthouses for us and our teaching.

Student with teacher - Paul and Richard Freeman. Though Paul's only been with him for a few intensive periods, in and out of Boulder, a connection was felt, teachings shared, as well as a talk and a laugh.

Swami Satchidananda, founder of Integral yoga, disciple of Sivananda.Beautiful really.

Swami Rama, founder of the Himalayan Institute.

Swami Vishnudevananda, founder of Sivananda organisation, where I spent so much time in their ashrams and centers. Excellent. |
