What is a Retreat?

A Retreat is a yoga intensive, usually residential, over a fixed date period with a comprehensive daily schedule. Taking time on retreat is one of the most effective ways to grow or start your yoga practice. Being removed from the distractions of your regular environment lets you really develop and open. Plus, you’re on holiday with the perfect chance to relax, clear your mind and improve your overall health and wellbeing. You will be thoroughly guided in the poses (asanas), breathwork, meditation, lifestyle and diet. We work together so you are encouraged and ready to continue this practice at home.

They are an ideal opportunity for intensive study, to practice deeper, learn more or even begin the practice of yoga. Focused time is needed to get started or go deeper. From this time you will be clear on what to do and can then much more easily blend it in to your daily life and routine at home. It may even be life changing ! :)

Some of the programs are simple yoga retreats, excellent for a holiday and practicing yoga. Others have more specific content covering the yoga practice and usually an area of special interest and training. In either the setting is beautiful and the restoration of the self is at the highest.
