Since its founding in 1999, Centered Yoga has offered yoga courses in Thailand across all interest levels:
- for professional yoga teachers
- those aspiring to become yoga teachers, and
- sincere students seeking to delve deeper into their practice and understanding of the contemplative yoga path.
Our yoga teaching team has studied and practiced to the highest level worldwide, from both years in India in practice to US-based academic research and scholarly work at the doctoral level. We continue to study, practice and learn so we can offer the best in teaching to you.
Our yoga teacher training program, An Education in Yoga: Foundation Course, is considered one of the most comprehensive in the world. It is also of the highest standard, with a broad scope that encompasses
asana, vinyasa, breath regulation, pranayama, yoga philosophy and psychology, anatomy and physiology, meditation, chanting, and spiritual practices.
Authenticity and integrity are our hallmarks, as we firmly believe that a deep understanding of not only the correct practice, but also its purpose, is essential to produce an effect that is both true and guided in the right direction. We make sure we do not take ourselves so seriously and emphasize fun in both learning and practicing yoga as the ability to enjoy what you are doing is essential to the overall yoga learning process and growth.
Upon successful completion of this training course you will be equipped with:
- The ability to teach a dynamic, vinyasa style asana class
- The ability to teach a gentle, restorative style asana class
- Basic understanding and direction to sequence your own classes
- Your own personalized asana practice
- Your own personalized seated practice (based in breathing awareness, classical pranayama, and mantra meditation techniques)
- A greater context for, and understanding of, Yoga in its entirety, beyond the physical approach to asana, so caring & sharing and love of this planet can be interpreted to others.
